Game
Workshop

Build your first game in a weekend. No experience needed.

May 16 & 17, 2026 Reykjavík 13:00 – 17:00

Make a game in a weekend

This game workshop is a hands-on, two-day deep dive into game creation using Godot which is one of the world's best free and open-source game engines. Whether you're a coder, an artist, a designer, a musician, or just someone with a game idea you've never acted on, this workshop is built for you. You'll leave with a playable game, new skills, and a community around you.

From idea to playable game

Game Engine Fundamentals

We'll use Godot as our tool, but the focus is on how game engines work in general. The fundamentals you pick up here apply to any game engine you use in the future.

2D Game Creation

Build a playable 2D game and learn about all of the core pieces that make up a game.

Game Design Thinking

Learn how to shape your ideas into something playable and fun. We'll talk about what makes games feel good and how to make decisions when you're stuck.

How to Keep Going

Finishing games is hard. We'll share the mindset, tools, and community resources that help you ship a project instead of abandoning it.
